Strand Theatre
If you love movies...Cinema Paradiso
Which is more important: what's on the screen or what's happening in every corner of the theater? Either way, for some it's paradise.
A
prominent movie director returns to his Sicilian home village for the
first time in many years to attend the funeral of the town's former film
projectionist, who served as the filmmaker's mentor when he was a young
 boy.
Los
Angeles TimesMichael Wilmington: "It's a shining valentine to the
movies--full of homages, collages and swooningly romantic Ennio
Morricone music--and it gets right at the messy, impure, wondrous way
they capture and enrapture us..."
With an ending to touch any lover of films.
Advance Tickets $9 available at Highway 61 Coffeehouse, $10 at the door.
And proof that there really is a Cinema Paradiso: FREE POPCORN!
